Dussehra Coloring Pages

Navratri or Dussehra is celebrated during the first nine days of the Hindu month of Ashvin (September-October). The festival is dedicated to the worship of Mother Goddess or Shakti and her nine forms. The day after Navratri the festival of Dussehra is celebrated. The festival marks the victory of Ram over Ravan, the demon king of Lanka. This festival is known as the victory of the good over the evil.  The people go to see Ram Lila and enjoy it. Big effigies of Ravan, Kumbhakarna, Meghnad are set up with explosives, crackers, etc. beset in them. At sunset, Ram throws a fiery arrow at them and they are set on fire.
