- A group of lions is called pride. They are the most social cats and each pride could include up to 40 lions.
- The male lion weighs around 180 kg and the female lion weighs up to 130 kg.
- The heaviest lion on record weighed ming bogling 375 kg (826 lb).
- Lions can attain speeds of up to 81 kph but only in short spans because of a lack of stamina.
