Dominica flag consists of a green background with a red circle. In the middle of the red circle there is the national bird of Dominica, a parrot. Encircling the parrot there are ten green stars whose edges are of yellow colour. These stars represent the ten administrative parts of Dominica. There are three parallel bands of yellow, black and white running horizontally and vertically to each other making a cross in the middle of the flag on which the red disk is set. The cross and its three colours represent the Christian faith of the country.
