Josephine Cochrane coloring page
Josephine Cochrane was born on 8 March, 1839 in Ashtabula Country, Ohio. In 1886, she completed the first practical mechanical dishwasher even though a washing machine device was patented already in 1850. She was the very wealthy woman and she organized so many fancy dinner parties. From the beginning she wanted a machine that may possibly do the better washing of the dishes than any human being does. She made the dishwasher in a few months without taking any help to the others.
In a little while Mrs. Cochrane received orders for her dishwashing machine from many restaurants and hotels in Illinois. After this she patented her design and went for the invention. In 1893 she displayed her design or invention at the World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago and got the uppermost prize for the best mecha-nical creation, toughness and adaptation to its line of work. Afterward, she began Garis-Cochran Manufacturing Company. She passed away on 3 August, 1913.
