We celebrate Republic Day on 26th January every year. On this day in 1951, our own constitution was enforced in the country and the country duly became a Republic. This constitution was written by Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar.

The main Republic Day celebration is held in New Delhi. On Rajpath a grand parade is taken out by army, navy, air force and other security forces. Tanks roll out and missiles are exhibited. It shows our military power. N.C.C. and Scouts also take part in the parade.

Several groups of school children put up amazing shows to everyone’s delight. The brave kids chosen for the President’s Award pass by on the elephants. The state pageants and folk dances are also very exciting.

Stars of the show are airforce planes that roar in the sky at the end in formations to thrill everyone.
