St. Patricks Day is celebrated on 17th march with great pomp and show in all major cities and small towns alike. People participate in parades wearing green and playing music and songs. Irish food and drink is the major attraction of the day. Activities for kids such as crafts, coloring and games are organized. Some enthusiasts even use vegetable dyes to dye rivers, canals or lakes green for the occasion. There are decorations from shamrocks to shillelaghs.
