The Song of a crow

Once a cunning fox saw a crow sitting on the high branch of a tree with a piece of cake in its beak. He went and sat under the tree and began thinking of some possible way to make the crow drop the piece of cake to the ground.
The fox thought of a ruse and said to the crow, “My dear, you have everything—strength, wisdom, and good looks. Only if you had a melodious voice you would have been truly perfect.”
For the sake of its vanity and ego, the crow began to sing to show it had a sweet voice as well, and, as soon as it opened its beak the piece of cake fell down to the ground. The fox grabbed it at once. Then he said to the crow, “You are a perfect fool because your ego is bigger than your wisdom.”

Moral : Beware of flatterers.
